Diao Ping, a senior engineer of the Meteorological Observatory of Urumqi City, checked the meteorological observation record that this is a typical convection weather. The weather process mainly occurred in the main city. The whole process is nearly 80 minutes. The thunder is huge, the cumulative rainfall is 0.6 mm, and the gust speed is 14 meters per second. It is often said that "thunder and heavy rain are small".

Summer is the season when the weather is high. Compared with previous years, since June this year, there are many lightning weather in Urumqi, mainly due to the more active cold air north of the high temperature. If the water vapor is strong, the possibility of a short -term and heavy precipitation will be high.
