A restaurant in Leshan, Sichuan found that the dinosaur footprint was left for the early Leida Legong of the Baiji period

This is a dinosaur site of the Baiji Kaiguan Team. At the level, there are thunder dragon footprints. The footprint is only 5 kilometers away from the famous Leshan Great Buddha. Interestingly, this is the only dinosaur footprint found in the restaurant in the world.

According to Mr. Ou Hongtao, a group of dinosaur footprints, on July 10, he dine at the restaurant and accidentally saw a few pits in the yard a little strange. Mr. Ou often exposed to stone due to work reasons, and pays particular attention to books and news about paleontology. He observed it carefully and found that this is likely to be a dinosaur footprint. That night, he contacted Associate Professor Xing Lida of China University of Geosciences (Beijing) through Weibo.

At the footprint point, the expert team composed of Xing Lida and Peng Guangzhen carefully studied and measured the footprint point, and carried out drones and 3D scanning the footprint. It was determined that this batch of footprints was the Legong footprint of the early clip of the Baiji period, and more than ten footprints formed two traces.

Associate Professor Xing Lida said that the significance of this discovery is the first discovery of dinosaur footprint fossils in Leshan City. These are two traces left by two dinosaurs of about eight meters in length. They were about 100 million years ago about 100 million years ago. The riverside activity of the arid environment of Gu Leshan left footprints. This sediment is also the basis of Leshan Buddha in the future.

This time, it was discovered that new information was added to the early ancient environment and ecology of Baiyuki in the area, and it also laid a solid foundation for finding more dinosaurs in Leshan in the future. The expert team suggested that the restaurant properly protects the footprint on the spot, and also hopes that this dinosaur footprint will become a scene of Leshan.
