Ministry of Cultural Tourism: It is determined that the Yellow River Hukou Waterfall tourist area is a national 5A -level tourist attraction

On July 15th, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism determined that 12 tourist attractions were national 5A -level tourist attractions. Among them, the Yellow River Putou Waterfall Tourist Area, which is located in the junction of Linfen City, Shanxi Province and Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province, was identified as a national 5A -level tourist attraction.

"One pot of thousands of miles of Yellow River", it is understood that Hugukou Waterfall is the largest yellow waterfall in the world. The Yellow River rushed to the mouth of the pot, and the stone walls on both sides of the strait stood up, and the estuary shrinking to about 30 meters, narrow as the mouth of the pot, hence the name of the Houkou waterfall. Every summer and autumn, the mouth of the Yellow River pot is affected by the rainfall in the middle and upper reaches of the Yellow River and the water regulation of the reservoir. The water flow will increase to about 2000 cubic meters per second, and it will form a waterfall group landscape of hundreds of meters, which is spectacular.

In accordance with the National Standard of the People's Republic of China, the "Division and Evaluation of the Quality Grade of Tourism Scenic Area" and the "Administrative Measures for the Quality Grade of Tourism Scenic Area", the relevant provincial (district, municipal) cultural and tourism administrative departments are recommended. The publicity was completed on July 12, 2022 to determine that the following 12 tourist attractions were the national 5A -level tourist attractions. The list is as follows:
