Bai Yukun entered the Nanyang Public School Normal University in 1899. After graduation, he taught in many schools. In the summer of the second year (1913) after Bai Yukun's sacrifice, Bai Yukun Martyrs Monument was completed on the campus of Xuhui. His classmate Li Shutong wrote two inscriptions: the martyrs' small biography and Zanwen, which were engraved on the front and back of the waist. After the Japanese army invaded Xuhui campus at the end of 1937, the upper half of the monument was destroyed, and only the remaining half of the waist and base survived were existing in the museum of the school history. According to the design plan, the residual part of the monument was rebuilt this time, which aims to motivate contemporary young people not to forget national shame, learn from, and anger. The re -construction site is located on the Danshui River on the northern section of Shu Tong Road. It forms a red landscape belt with the Yinglie commemorative sculpture in the south section. The monument body is the same snowflake white marble as the original monument material. Strong durability, at the same time, set up night views.
