National Bureau of Statistics: From January to June

The State Council News Office held a press conference today (July 15). Fu Linghui, spokesman for the National Bureau of Statistics and Director of the Department of National Economic Comprehensive Statistics, introduced the operation of the national economy in the first half of 2022, and answered reporters.

Fu Linghui said at the press conference that the national employment situation has improved, and the unemployment rate of urban investigation has fallen.In the first half of the year, 6.54 million new employment in the country and towns across the country, and the average unemployment rate of urban surveys in the country was 5.7%, of which average was 5.8%in the second quarter.In April, the nationwide urban survey unemployment rate was 6.1%; in May and June, it continued to decline, 5.9%and 5.5%, respectively.In June, the unemployment rate of local household registration population survey was 5.3%; the unemployment rate of foreign household registration population survey was 5.8%, of which the unemployment rate of foreign agricultural household registration population survey was 5.3%.The unemployment rates of the ages of aged 16-24 and 25-59 were 19.3%and 4.5%, respectively.The unemployment rate of 31 large cities and towns was 5.8%, a decrease of 1.1 percentage points from the previous month.The average weekly working time of employment personnel in the country is 47.7 hours.At the end of the second quarter, the total rural labor force was 18.124 million.
