The 7th Ministerial Conference of China, Japan and South Korea Disaster Management was held

On July 14, the seventh China -Japan -Korea Disaster Management Ministerial Conference was held in a video manner. Zhou Xuewen, Deputy Minister of Emergency Management, Tang Zhi, the Minister of Disaster Secretary of the Japanese Cabinet House, and Vice Minister of Disaster Safety Management of the Ministry of Administrative Safety in South Korea. Ho attended the exchange of disaster management policies and measures of the Three Kingdoms. Sakada Namako, Deputy Secretary -General of the China -Japan -South Korea Cooperation Secretariat, attended the meeting.

Zhou Xuewen said that China has always adhered to the people -centered development ideas and the concept of people's supremacy and life first, and continued to improve the institutional system and mechanism of the emergency management legal system, organized the implementation of key projects for disaster prevention and mitigation, actively responded to severe natural disasters, and continuously improved the comprehensive disaster reduction capacity. China is willing to cooperate with Japan and South Korea to deepen the field of disaster management, and make positive contributions to the overall cooperation between China, Japan and South Korea and the prosperity and stability in Asia.

The Japanese side introduced its recent work to revise and improve policy improvement in response to major natural disasters. The South Korean side introduced the relevant concepts and policies and measures of disaster prevention, response, post -disaster recovery, and local disaster -owned capacity building. Japan and South Korea have expressed their willingness to further strengthen the cooperation of disaster management of the Three Kingdoms and actively participate in global disaster governance.

The meeting passed the "Joint Statement of the Three Kingdoms of Disaster Management Cooperation", which agreed that the next session will be held in China in November 2023.
