Zhang Xin, former deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Shandong Provincial People's Congress, started the trial of the first trial of the bribery case.

Xinhua News Agency, Nanjing, July 14th. On July 14, 2022, the first instance of the Nanjing Intermediate People's Court opened the trial of the former party group and deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Shandong Provincial People's Congress.

Nanjing People's Procuratorate sued accused: from 2001 to 2019, the defendant Zhang Xinqi used the use of the deputy secretary of the Weifang Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China, deputy mayor and mayor of the Weifang Municipal People's Government, Secretary of the Weifang Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China, Deputy Secretary of the Qingdao Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China, and the People's Government of Qingdao Municipal People's Government. The mayor, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Shandong Provincial People's Congress, and other positions, helps relevant enterprises and individuals in terms of enterprise operations, project development, engineering acceptance, planning approval, and job adjustment. From 2006 to 2021, Zhang Xinqi directly or through the property given by relevant units and individuals by others illegally, a total of more than 155 million yuan. The procuratorial organs were requested to investigate Zhang Xin's criminal responsibility for bribery.

During the trial, the procuratorial organs presented relevant evidence. The defendant Zhang Xinqi and his defender conducted a qualitative certificate. The two parties of the prosecution fully expressed their opinions under the auspices of the court. Zhang Xinqi made a final statement and confession in court. At the end of the trial, the court announced the offer and pronounced it.

More than 20 people from all walks of life listened to the trial.
