Summer Taoyuan Lishui National Wetland Park, the water flow is slow, the grass is savory, and everything is prosperous. However, "Bishui Xiangyang Wang Qingshan" is just an ordinary beauty. The most unique scenery here will not be presented until winter -2008, this wetland recorded the first time to the Chinese autumn sand duck. After that, this is known as " The waterbirds of Guowa have been overwinter for 13 consecutive years.

It is not where the river can retain the Chinese autumn sand duck. They are different from "Ducks". The black and white feathers in the whole body form the scale -like pattern of Chinese style. Coupled with the elegant and sharp -mouth of the crown feathers, they think of Chinese painting at first sight. Their "vision" is also different from "ducks". It is extremely picky and is regarded as an important species of the wetland ecological environment.

After years of development and utilization and governance, Taoyuan Lishui Wetland has formed an artificial and natural composite wetland ecosystem, retaining natural habitats, and artificially slowing the water potential. Under the green waves of sand and gravel, the gravel -like stacked and built a curved water flow channel. It is an excellent place for small aquatic creatures such as fish and shrimp. Sink water plants, floating plants, tight water plants, wet plant and other scientific matching, comprehensively meet different requirements for habitats such as birds, poultry, and poultry climbing.

This environment is loved by Chinese autumn sand ducks. In the past monitoring, most of the Chinese autumn sand ducks that overwinter the south are small groups or sporadic individuals, and they rarely see more than 10 individual records in the same place. In Taoyuan Lishui Wetland, people found more than 40 Chinese autumn sand duck clusters. In the most year, there were Bai Zhonghua Qiu Ducks "seeing" this treasure land. This number has made Taoyuan Lishui Wetland reaching an international important wetland standard.

In order to protect the Chinese autumn sand duck habitat, in 2011, Hunan founded Taoyuan Lishui National Wetland Park. Since then, a "national style" has been added in the green mountains and green water.

Taoyuan Lishui National Wetland Park, located in Taoyuan County, Changde City, with a total area of ​​751.79 hectares, of which the wetland area is 701.64 hectares and the wetland rate is 93.33%. Wetland types are mainly permanent river wetlands and flood wetlands. It is a comprehensive wetland park that integrates wetland protection and repair, cultural display, popular science education, scientific research monitoring, and ecological tourism.

At present, 154 vascular plants have been recorded, including 11 types of fern plants, 3 types of bare plants, and 140 types of quilt plants; 30 species of software animals, 99 fish, and 54 birds, including national first -level key protection protection Animal Chinese autumn sand duck, the national second -level key protection of animal crickets, black ear kite, sparrow eagle, ordinary spots and spots.
