The Central Bank of Belarus has decided to include RMB in the currency basket

Xinhua News Agency, Minsk, July 13 (Reporter Lu Jinbo) The Central Bank of Belarus released a news on the 13th that the RMB was included in its currency baskets since July 15.

The Bank of Belarus said that the weight of RMB in its currency baskets will be 10%, Russian ruble weights are 50%, and US dollars and euro weights are 30%and 10%, respectively.

The White Central Bank stated that this decision was mainly considering the changes in foreign exchange transactions and foreign trade structures of the country's foreign exchange stock exchange in 2022.After RMB was included in its currency basket, the official exchange rate of Belarus rubles for Renminbi, USD, euro, and Russian rubles will be determined based on the transaction results of the Belarusian Foreign Exchange Stock Exchange.
