This illustration is the cover of shoe and leather export magazines published in London in August 1919. The cover design cleverly borrowed the allusion of Cinderella crystal shoes, romantic and elegant.

Shoes are a very important token in Cinderella's story. The prince finally found Cinderella through the shoes. But have you noticed that in the stories of various versions, the descriptions of the final shoes that Cinderella falls are different.

In the ancient Egyptian version, Cinderella's shoes are a wooden pupa. In the version of "Five -Day Talk", Cinderella Zezora fell was not the shoes, but the heels used to increase. In Charles Pero's version, shoes are hair -made shoes. From French to English version, Cinderella is wearing crystal shoes. In the version of the Green Brothers, the shoes are made of gold. However, in each version, only Charles Pero's version has fairy and pumpkin carriage, adding a lot of romantic elements to the story. Disney's animated films also use Charles Pero's version.
