Opening of the 10th Straits of Minsheng Meteorological Forum on Cross -Strait

On July 12, the 14th Straits Forum · The 10th Cross -Strait Minsheng Meteorological Forum opened in Xiamen, Fujian. Nearly 150 meteorological experts and scholars on both sides of the Taiwan Straits are focusing on the theme of "deepening meteorological exchanges, Huize's cross -strait people's livelihood", sharing the latest research results of meteorological technology, discussing meteorological service people's livelihood plan, and promoting cross -strait meteorological integration and development. Guo Ningning, member of the Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee and executive deputy governor, and Bi Baogui, a member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the China Meteorological Administration, attended the opening ceremony.

Guo Ningning pointed out that weather is a science and technology, basic, and pilot social welfare undertakings, which are related to the lives of the people, the well -being of the people, and the development of economic and social development. Fujian Province has always placed weather in an important position to achieve positive progress in improving the meteorological observation system, promoting meteorological technology innovation, improving the core business capabilities of meteorological business, exerting comprehensive meteorological benefits, and disaster prevention and mitigation. In recent years, the meteorological exchange and cooperation of Fujian and Taiwan has become more closely. It is hoped that this forum is the opportunity to promote the deepening exchanges and cooperation between the people's livelihood meteorology on both sides of the strait in a larger and wider field, jointly enhance the cross -strait meteorological disaster prevention and mitigation capabilities, and contribute wisdom and strength to enhance the well -being of the people's livelihood on both sides of the strait.

Bi Mugui said that after 10 years of development, the people's livelihood meteorological forum on both sides of the Taiwan Strait has become an important platform for meteorological exchanges and cooperation on both sides of the strait. Cross -strait compatriots have continued to improve, the monitoring and early warning capabilities of the monitoring of the strait meteorological disaster, and the effectiveness of meteorological profit and avoiding harm. It is hoped that the two sides of the strait will put meteorological technology exchanges and cooperation in a more prominent position, jointly carry out key core technology research, and build a new pattern of meteorological technology development with complementary advantages, mutual promotion, and common development; On the basis of cooperation, we will continuously improve the capabilities of meteorological monitoring and forecasting and early warning, and better serve the well -being of the people's livelihood.

This forum conducts exchanges and discussions on the disaster weather of the two sides of the strait.
