Upper mountain archeological site park

The upper mountain archeological site park is named after the mountain site, and is located in Shangshan Village, Huangzhai Town, Pujiang County. A grain of carbonized rice dates back to 10,000 years ago in the history of planting rice in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, providing very precious information for the research on the origin of rice -made agriculture. This is the earliest cultivation of rice in the world to date.

In 2006, the Archaeological community officially named the early New Stone Age represented by the above mountain ruins as "Shangshan Culture". So far, Zhejiang Province has discovered 21 early Neolithic ruins. It is the largest and most concentrated early Neolithic era group in China and even East Asia. Among them, Jinhua exceeds 2/3, reaching as many as 14 places.
