Under what circumstances will biogas explode?

Biogas is a combustible gas produced by organic matter in isolation of air and a certain temperature, humidity, pH, etc. through the action of biogas bacteria. In daily life, the biochemical biogas emerged from the ditch, sludge ponds, and septic tanks are biogas, and its main ingredients are methane and carbon dioxide. There are many similarities between biogas and liquefied gas in many natures and daily use. When the biogas accounted for about 9%to 15%of the air, it will explode when it encounters fire sources or sparks.

Why is biogas poisoning?

The toxic gases in biogas are mainly hydrogen sulfide. Hydrogen sulfide is a colorless gas, with odor egg flavor. When burning, the flame is blue and easy to dissolve in water. When the concentration of hydrogen sulfide in the air exceeds 0.02%, it can cause symptoms such as headache, fatigue, blindness, gastrointestinal diseases; when the concentration exceeds 0.1%, it can quickly die. Carbon dioxide in biogas accounts for 25%to 40%. When the carbon dioxide content in the air increases to 30%, human breathing will be suppressed and paralyzed. If a person suddenly enters the environment where the oxygen is only less than 4%of the oxygen environment, it will lose consciousness in 40 seconds, and then spasm and stop breathing.

How to prevent biogas leakage and explosion?

1. Construction, operation, maintenance, and use shall be strictly implemented in accordance with the industry standards issued by the Ministry of Agriculture, "Technical Specifications for Biogas Engineering", "Dargeted Livestock and Poultry Poultry Farm Operation, Maintenance and Safety Technical Regulations" to ensure construction safety. The construction and maintenance unit shall formulate a strict production safety system and operating procedures, strengthen safety production management, and ensure that the safety protection facilities on the spot are complete.

2. Special post construction personnel must hold a certificate to work and conduct safety education and training before going to the job. The construction and installation of the main project must have on -site guidance of security officers to ensure operation and maintenance safety.

3. The operating manager can work after professional training, and it must be operated strictly in accordance with the operating procedures. Once a failure occurs during the operation, the operator shall not deal with it without authorization. Professional and technical personnel shall be notified in time to formulate a detailed repair and maintenance plan.

4. To strengthen the inspection and maintenance of biogas transportation pipelines and biogas utensils to prevent biogas from leakage.

5. The fire prevention regulations are strictly implemented in the biogas station and obvious firearms are posted. Unrelated personnel shall not enter the station casually.

What should I do if I find a biogas leak?

To achieve "explosion -proof and rear row row", when a biogas leakage occurs in the room, the doors and windows should be opened immediately. Do not switch the electrical switch and light fire, and immediately find out that the missing point is processed in time. At the same time, avoid collisions between metals, so as to avoid sparks and cause explosions.
