Jilai: "Sun Tzu's Art of War" is not only famous in China, but also has great influence in the West. It is a best -selling book. First, "Sun Tzu's Art of War" is shorter. Second, "Sun Tzu's Art of War" has been translated into various languages ​​for a long time, which is very similar to "Tao Te Ching". Third, its content is very attractive, not only about the strategy and tactics of war, but also reflect humanity.

Many Western readers' evaluation of the "Sun Tzu's Art of War" is: "A book with a history of 2500 years and revealing many principles. Surprisingly, in today's technological progress, these principles still have its application value."

I have translated "Sun Tzu's Art of War" since 2014. At that time, Professor Ou Gang, the fourth -generation Sinologist in Turkey, had promised the publisher to translate "Sun Tzu's Art of War", but he translated part of it and stopped due to physical reasons. Later, the publisher asked me if I could continue to translate, so I contacted Professor Ou Steel and asked if he could translate the book together? He said, "I'm glad." So we started.

We agreed to go to Ou Steel Professor's house a few hours in a row, check the information and discuss it. At that time, there was no translation of Turkey from Chinese, so we want to do this, which is more accurate and authentic than translation through English or other languages.

No matter what language, it is better to translate. Translation through other languages ​​may cause ambiguity. For example, the translation of "Sun Tzu's Art of War" also contains my understanding of this work from the process of translation directly into Turkish text, which is definitely different from the understanding of the English version.

Reporter of China News Agency: In English translation, "Sun Tzu's Art of War" was translated into "The Art of War". In your opinion, is this a book about "war"? What kind of Chinese wisdom does "Sun Tzu" contain?

Ji Lai: "Sun Tzu's Art of War" is both a military book, with military strategies such as "using the method of using soldiers, all the victory"; it is also an excellent literary work. A reference book that gives people to people has the philosophy of life such as "victory and not being able to do". "Sun Tzu's Art of War" is a brilliant treasure in the ancient Chinese cultural heritage, and it is a concentrated manifestation of the essence of ancient military ideology. But I think my grandson's thought is to avoid war. "It is a hundred battles, and those who are not good at good are also; The so -called battle is not the wound, it is not clever; it is clever to surrender the enemy without passing the war. Tracing the history of human society, it can be seen that the group and even the group are inevitably competing with each other. This kind of competition is cruel and fierce. Before modern society, this competition comes from the survival instinct of "weak meat and strong food" on the earth's biosphere, and on the other hand, it is a response to the lack of survival conditions and insufficient production capacity.

However, the suffering of the war has been continuously reflected, and globalization has prompted increasingly close international production and trade relations. It also brings an inclusive value concept while narrowing cultural differences. The war has become more and more disgusted, resistant, and even resistance.

The wisdom of the grandson is reflected in the "old soldiers' conspiracy, followed by firing, followed by the soldiers, and the siege of the city. Diplomacy defeating the enemy is to defeat the enemy with force again, and the bottom strategy is to attack the enemy's city. Siege is a last resort, there is no way.

The Chinese pre -Qin logic is the peak of the history of ancient Chinese logic, such as Taoist families and legalists. I have not translated Mozi and Han Feizi yet, I hope to complete it in the future.

More Chinese classics are translated to Turkey, which helps people better understand China and Chinese wisdom. For example, the West does not have the concepts of "Tao", "gentleman", and "villain", so understanding it is destined to open a new window. The "Guiguzi" I translated was published this year, and the second printing has been sold out. It has become a best -selling book in Turkey like "Sun Tzu's Art of War".

China has a long history. As a sinologist, the biggest contribution I can make is to translate more Chinese classics.

Jilai: Sinology research and translations are significant as a bridge that communicates the East and the West, and good literary works have the attributes of "world language". The premise of excellent translation is to span two cultures to understand local culture and understand Chinese culture. This is very important and important.

When translating the classics of Chinese classical Chinese, you must set up a place. For example, in the era of Confucius' life, or "Dream of Red Mansions" described in the environment and what mentioned in that era, it is basically not seen, so you must "cross" the past "on -site" research, and then "cross" back to talk about Listen to the people now.

In addition, it is also important to choose a classic annotation version for reference. Ji Lai: Good to say. Regardless of the East or West, classics are contributing to all humanity. This is one of the main reasons I hope to translate more Chinese classics into Turkish.

Compared with the West, there are many different cultural backgrounds, different language expression, different lifestyles, different communication etiquette, etc., because of this, it has brought freshness. window.

From a literary perspective, empathy is the common feature of human beings. Because no matter how complicated the problem and dispute, from the emotion, human beings can basically understand and then resolve the gap.
