In recent periods, the pace of investment in global waste plastic chemistry recycling technology has been accelerating. In the past few months, a series of announcements related to capital projects, development partnerships and supply agreements have appeared worldwide. Commercial scale processing facilities are being built on a large scale worldwide.
Thermal solution oil facilities are springing bamboo shoots
Among many plastic chemical recycling technologies, thermal solution technology has always dominated. In recent months, the production facilities in Europe and the United States have sprung up on both sides of the Atlantic.
In May of this year, Daedal Energy announced that it signed a contract with the new hope energy company in Texas, the United States, and will receive 100,000 tons of heat -solving oil each year to produce cyclic plastic in the Taylor factory in Texas. Since 2018, New Hope Energy has been operating its Sanyi Oaks Heat Plant in Taylor City, and has signed a years of supply contract with Tao's company in January 2022. In order to support new contracts, the new hope is planning to expand the Sanyi Oak Thermal Plant to 16,000 tons/year at the end of 2022 and 156,000 tons/year in 2025.
At present, New Hope has cooperated with Roms Technology Company to carry out technical permission. Rames's new subsidiary Green Circle has combined the thermal solution technology of the new hope with the conversion technology of Chevron Rames with the steam cracking technology of Roms to achieve a hybrid waste plastic production polymer -grade ethylene. , Integrated technology package of polymer grade acrylonitris and butadiene.
In addition, the British Petroleum Corporation (BP) signed a 10 -year stone -priced purchase agreement with the Clean Planet Energy Company. According to the agreement, BP will get the first batch of circulating petrochemical raw materials and ultra -low sulfur diesel produced by the 20,000 tons/year -old -year -old -year -old -year -old -year -old -year -old heat dissolvation plant constructed by Clean Star Energy in the UK. In the future, BP can also obtain these products outside the factories outside Tidel, which is cleaned. Clean Star Energy Corporation stated that the company plans to build up to 12 factories worldwide.
As the demand for thermal solution oil increases, other companies are also building such industrial scale projects. In May, XYCLE, a joint venture of Royal Fulbao, Nowit and Patpert Teknow Systems, announced that it plans to build a 20,000 -ton/year armal solution factory in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and is expected to be put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2023. Xycle said that its ultimate goal was to build an operational thermal solution capacity of 80,000 to 100,000 tons/year.
In April, Freepoint Eco Systems, located in Houston, announced that it will continue to build a thermal solution factory with a plastic waste treatment capacity of about 90,000 tons/year in Hibren, Ohio, which is expected to be completed in 2023. In October 2021, FreePoint announced that it would cooperate with Daedal Energy and Plastic Energy to build a 33,000 tons/year armal solution plant in Texas, USA, which is planned to be put into production in mid -2024. In addition, Daodal Energy cooperated with Plastic Energy to build a 15,000 -ton/year conversion plant built in the Grandi Petrochemical complex in France. The two sides are also under construction in Seville, Spain, a 33,000 -ton/year thermal solution facilities, and will be put into time in early 2025.
ENCINA Development Group, located in Woodland, the United States, announced that it would invest in $ 1.1 billion in April. It will adopt the company's proprietary plastic fluidization catalytic cracking process to design 450,000 tons per year for aromatics. Encina is expected to be fully put into operation in the fall of 2024.
Synthetic resin recovery project floods to France
Recently, new projects related to synthetic resin recycling technology are also developing, four of which are polyphenylene glycol (PET) projects, all of which are located in France.
Eastman announced in January that the construction of US $ 1 billion in the construction of the Port of Jerom, France, will use the company's alcoholic polyester regeneration technology to be put into production in 2025. At that time, the factory will be able to use mechanical recycling methods to achieve fresh PET resin using waste PET to produce 160,000 tons/year. In addition, Canada Loop Industries also announced that it plans to set up a US $ 285 million joint venture with Susis in France, which plans to put it in operation from 2024 ~ 2025.
French CARBIOS and Thailand Corporation announced in February that it plans to build a recycling facility based on Carbios biological recycling technology in the Incalama factory in Langraville, France. After being put into production in 2025, the project will recover 50,000 tons/year PET resin. In May of this year, Axens announced that it would cooperate with Dongli Industry to combine the PET solution technology of Axens sugar and leaflets with Dongli's aggregation technology to build a 80,000 tons/year in San Morris De Benunoster, France. Recycling factory. The project is currently in the engineering design stage. The goal of the partner is to apply its first 30,000 tons/year device at the end of 2025.
Plastic degradation recycling new plant dense construction
In terms of plastic degradation recycling, many companies are also building new factories densely. In terms of traditional polystyrene (PS), which is very difficult to recover, in November 2021, Benzide announced that it would cooperate with the British recycling technology company to build a PS recovery factory in Swinson, UK. , Will become the first advanced polystyrene recycling facility in Europe. In February 2022, Shengxio announced that it plans to build a 15,000 tons/year polystyrene recycling plant in Tysondelo, Belgium, and will start construction at the end of this year. Toyo styrene company announced in February that it plans to invest 33 million US dollars in AgilyX technology investment in Chiba, Japan to build a 3,000 -ton/year PS recycling device, and is planned to be put into use in the second half of 2023. According to the announcement issued in August last year, AgilyX and Jincheng Petrochemical considered establishing a set of PS recycling facilities in South Korea. In addition, in September last year, AgilyX announced that its plastic degradation patent technology has expanded to the solution of all waste plastics. In February 2022, the company announced the establishment of a strategic partnership with Virgin Group to develop and use hybrid plastic waste to produce low -carbon fuel production facilities. American renewable company Purecycle Technology has developed a solvent method for polypropylene waste purification process. The company announced in March that the second factories had broken ground in Georgia. The company predicts that two purification lines with a total production capacity of 118,000 tons/year will be built in the fourth quarter of 2023, and 6 purification lines may be built in the future. The company's first purification facility in Esinton, Ohio will begin producing polypropylene plastic particles at the end of 2022. Cyclyx International is a plastic recycling raw material consortium established by AgilyX and Exxon Mobil.
