The first step in scientific research is to read the literature. I still remember that when I first carried out research, I was doubtful like the younger brothers and sisters who had just entered the group: How to read a large amount of literature? How can I search for relevant key documents?

My experience is to understand the "big cow" in the field before reading the literature. Familiar with their names and research directions, it can help us enter this field quickly.

First, carefully read their reviews in recent years. The important review meeting systematically summarizes the research history and research significance in the art, and covers their thinking and research ideas for the art. In this way, we will have a macro grasp of the development of the field, knowing where the challenge is, and the significance of research.

After you have a macro understanding of the entire field, you can start searching and study related literature in detail.

At this time, we must not only pay attention to the latest documents, but also read some authoritative and classic literature. This is very important. You can find the basic explanation of the principle, lay the foundation for tracking and research, and may even develop a new understanding or theory from it.

But after a certain amount of harvest, I personally do not recommend blind pursuit of hot spots. If you blindly pursue the hot spots, it means that he has no independent thinking and discovery during the experiment. I remember that in the experiment, in order to prepare a water gel nano line structure, there were no special structures on the surface of the samples that were tried many times. After an accidental water gel with the solution for about two or three days, I found that the sample fell off from the template. I immediately used scanning electronic microscopes to observe the sample, and found that it was the structure we needed to prepare. After that, the parameters were further adjusted, and we developed a series of flexible nano -wire array preparation methods.
