This is the third time Li Ruizhen's film was shortlisted for the Berlin Film Festival. Wu Renlin, the actor of this film, cannot be so peaceful. His other identity is Li Ruiyi's uncle and farmers in the flower wall village. In February, the China Film Architecture Museum conducted a screening of "Hidden Dust Smoke". In order to participate in this event, Wu Renlin had to rush to Beijing from Zhangye, Gansu. He was anxious, thinking that his own wheat missed the season.

Li Ruiyi is probably the most unique existence of Chinese young directors: graduated from a college from Taiyuan, and had no money to make a film. He had to turn all his relatives in his hometown into an actor. "Tell them, I went to Baihe", in order to save funds, he directly pulled his grandfather as the actor. At a film festival in Australia, Grandpa defeated Andy Lau and Wu Yanzu, and stood on the podium of the film emperor. The village that filmed "Hidden Dust Smoke" was actually my hometown, Zhangye Wall Village, Gansu.

Why is it called a flower wall? This is a particularly interesting place. It is by the Heihe River. The Heihe is the second largest inland river in China. In fact, it is called Ruo Shui in ancient times. The irrigation of the entire Hexi Corridor depends on the Heihe River, so there are a lot of wetlands. In the past, people here repaired the house and went to the wetland to pick up the soil, because the earthwork gathered in the mud was very delicate, which was equivalent to our grass skin. On the wall, the wall is whispering, so it is called a flower wall.

I was born and grew up in such a village. At the age of 17, I followed my father into the city. My perception of many things has been established in this village, and now I have returned here in a movie. In the village, there have been people like the fourth child. He may be my relatives, or the father of a elementary school classmate, attached to the shelter of his brother and sister -in -law, go to the sheep every day. Essence He was sitting in a corner. I never listened to his mouth to speak. It wasn't that he couldn't speak. He had a language function and had never heard it. He has no social and friends. When he eats, he gave him the meal. There are also women who are particularly similar to Guiying. She has a little mental abnormality and wanders dirty every day. She particularly likes to go to our house. Sometimes my mother chats with others, she will come in and sit down. My mother will give her steamed buns. No one says you can't come, maybe because she hasn't rushed her. She thinks she can get here. Essence She didn't speak. After listening for a while, she left. There is also a wall on the side of her house. The old, earthy, and rammed city walls are the remaining parts of the city wall of this village. There are many bees on the wall. We all like to catch bees there. Maybe only the child can play with her. The child's heart will be cleaner, pure, and not so strong. Perhaps she is a person who looks a bit broken in the body and limbs, but I think she should have a very, very pure and clean inner world. She can play with these children. Later, I felt that people like the fourth and Guiying were actually not only in our village, but also outside the village. Other villages, even the county seats, such as those tramps. After realizing this, I want to make such a movie. In fact, this idea has been five or six years old. By the end of 2018, I felt it was mature, so in 2019, I took a year to sit down, turn it into text, then modify and improve the story, and filmed this "Hidden Dust Smoke".

In the flower wall, I made 5 movies with 4 ministers and 1 short film. Making movies in my hometown seems to gradually become a style of me. In fact, the earliest decision to return to the village to shoot was because of lack of money.

I learned advertisements. In 2003, I graduated from Shanxi Media College and came to Beijing and wanted to approach the movie. At the beginning, I went to the TV station to be a director. After working for a while, I felt that I was a craftsman. I couldn't get those relationships. I simply changed the job. It didn't take long for the new group to be the same, so I continued to resign. In those years, my state was often working for half a year, resigned for half a year, half a year of work, and resigning for half a year. When you can't pay the rent, go to the meeting and shoot the wedding. After taking the cash, you can leave. There are three or five hundred yuan a day. The cost of my life is very low, and the rent is nothing more than five hundred yuan. I have lived in this house from 2003 to 2014. I can eat the meat and rice rice in the pot for two months. If you do n’t buy it, there are free small benches in Zhongguancun Book Building. You can watch it for a day. Most of my scripts are also done there. When the first movie "Summer Solstice", I was 23 years old. It was very difficult to find money. My parents saved them for many years and prepared to buy a house in the county. In the end, it took nearly 300,000. The people of the crew are all alumni of the TV port, and they have no experience. They are unbearable. They have to borrow money while shooting. Later, the film was shortlisted for the Rotterdam International Film Festival. To submit a HDCAM band, it costs 1500 yuan to add a strap when the machine room is, and it is impossible to borrow money everywhere. After the shooting, I took a long time to reflect. These 300,000 also equivalent to paying tuition and buying a lesson. This lesson tells me that all the case work must be extremely solid to start.

But after the first movie was filmed, I was like a demon, and I was eager to shoot the second one, and the desire continued to swell. Just like you like a girl, it is not enough to see it once, I want to see her, and then want to be with her. But I still owe a lot of money, and I can only pay it while. For a while, I called my parents and could feel that they were unhappy. I think they should be economical. When the film "Old Donkey Head" was filmed in 2009, Director Yang Jin said that he could take me photography for free. His little sister -in -law can help me recording. Teacher Zhang Xianmin can provide me with his machine, but they also let me and the female first with the female female first with the female female first. When my friend earns some money, I think that it is better to return to my hometown and train the villagers in the flower wall village as an actor, and use extremely low cost shooting.

In 2009, I returned to Huaqi Village and said that I wanted to make a movie and find the people in the village as an actor. Our village was a large -scale power -on in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Even in 2009, the only person in the village had computers and the Internet, which was the owner of Guiying and the fourth fourth -fourth fertilizer, pesticide, and seeds. When he grows up, he comes back and said that he wants to make a movie and let them act as an actor. They feel that this matter is particularly absurd. Unbelievable. The movie is mysterious, how can you make a movie? They felt that you were jumping with other children when you were young and running around with other children. Whoever had seen it, now suddenly come back and say that you have to make a movie here, and let us play your movie. This is too absurd.

When I was passing by the village entrance, everyone would stand there and chat with it. When I didn't speak, I watched me walk over before everyone began to talk about it. Including I wore a baseball cap at that time, I bought it when I went to Seoul in Seoul in 2008. The jujube was red, the brim was grinded, and the yellow was exposed. They felt that you see, he even the hat was broken. What kind of movie can you make? A young man, ignorance, no hair on his mouth, not firm in doing things, blindness, shame, you are all old, what do you make trouble with him! Many people can't hold this pressure and resign. In the end, I can only make all my relatives as actors, because it is easier to persuade them. Later, the old donkey's head was actually my grandfather. My father played his son, and many relatives and friends performed.

"Old Donkey Head" was finished, and was shortlisted for the Busan Film Festival. At that time, it was still a paper media. I feel that this is a real thing, not blindly, they trust newspapers. When I go back, everyone’s attitude is not the same. Many people suddenly realize that if you live for a lifetime, at a certain time, he can stay in the movie and stay. Things, so I went back to make "Tell them, I went to Baihe" in 2011, and many people would take the initiative to sign up and say that I want to play a movie.

When they really saw this movie on TV, their ideas changed. They feel that we can act as a movie. Why is the movie exclusive? right? We are not worse than him, you watch CCTV broadcast, right. Our village is also very beautiful. Why is it so beautiful when it is on TV? Our language is not soil, and we are not ugly.

It's not the same now. If someone in the flower wall village says I want to learn film and television, parents say who I see who does it, I know that there is such a thing to do, he will not have such a strong question, saying that I don't see it Over, not. As for me, this is the movie I want to make. My origin, my experience, and my experience, shaped my current perspective, and a person always puts his perspective towards the class that is closer to himself. When dealing with life and death, there are not only quaint emotions, but also quaint wisdom. In "Hidden Dust Smoke", when the expensive heroes were drowned, the villagers watched there.
