The second national botanical garden is here!

Today (July 11), the South China National Botanical Garden was unveiled in Guangzhou.This is the second national botanical garden established after Beijing National Botanical Garden.

South China National Botanical Garden is currently the largest South Asian tropical botanical garden in the world and one of the oldest botanical research and plant protection institutions in China. The total area of the exhibition area and the scientific research area is 333 hectares.Plant conservation, scientific research and knowledge dissemination.

From tropical rain forests to alpine plants, from strange flowers to desert plants, more than 17,000 plants moved to the South China National Botanical Garden.Among the plants that were successfully relocated in the park, there were 643 rare endangered plants and 337 national key wild protected plants.

At present, the South China National Botanical Garden has successfully achieved the wild return of 36 kinds of southern southern southern and endangered plants such as Rhododendron Red Mountain Tea, Guangdong Laughing, and Hydrangea.In the next 3 to 5 years, the South China National Plants will be established, which will effectively protect 95%of the rare and endangered plants in South China.
