In 2003, the Fujian Provincial Party Committee of the Communist Youth League founded the Straits Youth Forum in Fuzhou, aiming to build a new platform for cross -strait youth ideological exchanges, display new images of young people on both sides of the strait, and open a new window for young people on cross -strait youth. Since 2006, the Straits Youth Forum was co -sponsored by the National Youth Federation of China and relevant Taiwan associations; in 2010, the forum was held in Xiamen and became an important part of the Youth Exchange sector of the Straits Forum.
