Air controller prepares for dual hub airport control operation

There were no conflict between the two airports. The other is a horizontal plan. By planning two airports to leave the field, the horizontal distance between flights is guaranteed.
However, the distance between the two places also has some benefits. For example, the aircraft could not land near Tianhe Airport, and the plane could not land. Previously, it might need to go to the airport with a farther distance. However, after the opening of Ezhou Huahu Airport, flights that cannot be landed at Tianhe Airport can be descended to Huahu Airport, reducing the waiting time of passengers.
The challenges brought by the work of controller are not limited to this. After the opening of the Ezhou Huahu Airport, the controller must adapt to the state of the peak of the night flight as soon as possible.
Xie Shengping explained that Tianhe Airport is mainly passenger, and the peak transportation period is mainly during the day. Huahu Airport is positioned as a freight hub airport. The freight flights are characterized by loading and transportation during the day. The peak transportation period is concentrated at 11:00 at night to 4 am the next day. This means that the controller needs to better adapt to the night peak work.

Joint simulation training is prepared for sailing
Since June 2020, the Civil Aviation Hubei Air Management Branch has started training for the first batch of students in Huahu Airport in Ezhou. Xie Shengping said that the actual preparations began as early as 2018, and the airports of the two places kept in -depth contact.
The Civil Aviation Hubei Air Management Branch has completed the training of 28 air management students for Huahu Airport in Ezhou, of which 17 are regulators, 5 meteorological posts, and 6 communication navigation posts. Training courses include theoretical learning, simulation machine training, and order assessment. All trainees should receive skills training of close controllers and tower controllers at the same time, including aircraft air sorting, aircraft take -off and landing, ground taxiing, and special disposal.
Air controller prepares for dual hub airport control operation
At present, 28 management staff at Ezhou Huahu Airport have obtained a license and completed the qualification preparations of the air management personnel before sailing.
The Civil Aviation Hubei Air Management Branch also actively prepared for the opening of Huahu Airport. Xie Shengping introduced that the preparatory work includes dividing the procedures for the departure of the two places, determining the scope of their respective airspaces, safety assessment, military and civil aviation coordination, and signing of agreement between the two places, equipment adjustment, and so on.
In addition, the approach controllers of the two places need to receive joint simulators training, practice the order operation order of the dual -hub airport in advance, and make the final preparation for the opening of the Ezhou Huahu Airport.
