The quality of ecological environment in the first half of the year continues to improve (new data and new highlights)

Our newspaper, Beijing, July 9 (Reporter Liu Yi and Kou Jiangze) On July 9, the relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment notified the national ecological environment quality status from January to June this year. Various monitoring data show that the quality of ecological environment in the country in the first half of this year has continued to improve.

In terms of environmental air conditions, the nation's air quality improved in the first half of this year. The proportion of excellent air quality of cities and above in the prefecture -level and above cities reached 84.6%, an increase of 0.3 percentage points year -on -year; PM2.5 concentration was 32 micrograms/cubic meter, a year -on -year decrease of 5.9%. The proportion of excellent air quality in Beijing -Tianjin -Hebei and surrounding areas increased by 1.3 percentage points year -on -year, and PM2.5 concentration decreased by 4.1%year -on -year.

In terms of water ecological environment, in the first half of this year, the quality of the water environment across the country continued to improve. The proportion of the section of the water quality (excellent water quality) of the ground water Ⅰ -Ⅲ was 85.7%, an increase of 4.0 percentage points year -on -year; the proportion of inferior water quality sections was 1.1%, a year -on -year decrease of 0.8 percentage points.

The proportion of the water quality section of the key basin I -III was 87.3%, an increase of 3.8 percentage points year -on -year; the proportion of inferior water quality sections was 0.8%, a year -on -year decrease of 1.0 percentage points. Among them, the proportion of water quality sections of the Yangtze River and the Yellow River Basin is 97.0%and 82.4%, respectively, an increase of 2.0 percentage points and 5.8 percentage points year -on -year. 3 The section of the water quality is 3.4%, a year -on -year decrease of 2.3 percentage points. Among the key lakes (library), the number of water quality lakes in type I -III accounted for 76.2%, an increase of 3.3 percentage points year -on -year; the number of inferior water quality lakes accounted for 5.2%, a year -on -year decrease of 0.5 percentage points.

In the first half of this year, the country's soil environmental conditions, the quality of the groundwater, the natural ecological conditions, and the quality of the sound environment were generally stable.

Since the beginning of this year, my country has continued to promote the development of green and low -carbon, strengthen pollution control and ecological protection and restoration, deal with the relationship between development and emission reduction, and promote the harmonious symbiosis of man and nature. The relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment stated that in the first half of this year, the concentration of ozone concentrations in cities and above in the country was 144 micrograms/cubic meters, an increase of 4.3%year -on -year; , 5.1 percentage points, PM2.5 concentration rose 2.9%and 4.3%year -on -year, respectively.
