The Ministry of Civil Affairs recently announced the civil affairs statistics in 2022 in the first quarter of civil affairs. In the first quarter of 2022, there were a total of 2.107 million marriages, and the divorce registration was 514,000. Among them, the number of marriage registrations in Sichuan Province was 169,000 pairs, and the number of divorce registrations was 45,000, ranking first in the country.

According to statistics from the official website of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the statistics of the Ministry of Civil Affairs learned that Sichuan's marriage registration data in 2021 was 164,000 pairs, 126,000 pairs in 2020, 209,000 pairs in 2019, and 228,000 pairs in 2018.

From the data of 2018 to 2022, except for the influence of the epidemic in the first quarter of 2020, the data is not comparable, and the number of marriages in Sichuan is constantly declining.

There are various reasons for the decline. First of all, the people who are suitable for marriage are constantly decreasing, and at the same time, it has a lot to do with the post -marriage age delay. The National Bureau of Statistics recently announced the "Chinese Population Census Yearbook -2020", which has attracted much attention. Data show that in 2020, the average first marriage age of Chinese people rose to 28.67 years, of which the average first marriage age of men was 29.38 years old and women were 27.95 years. Compared with ten years ago, the average age of Chinese people was nearly 4 years old.

Judging from the data released by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, there were more than 100,000 pairs of marriage registration in 7 provinces in the country in the first quarter, including Sichuan, Guangdong, Henan, Anhui, Guizhou, Shandong, and Jiangsu. Among them, Sichuan ranks first, Guangdong ranks second with 155,000 pairs, and Henan ranks third with 154,000 pairs.

Because marriage and divorce are related to the population of the household registration, there are large labor services such as Sichuan, Henan, and Guizhou. During the Spring Festival, migrant workers returned to their hometown to get married, so there were also many married people in the first quarter.
