In 1987, 17 -year -old Bai Dongxu studied arts and crafts in a professional secondary school in Zhangye. After graduation, due to other work, most of the time and energy were occupied by work, but this hobby of art creation has never changed in Bai Dongxu's heart. "At that time, there was a wish. If there was a wall that made me create it on it, it would be great!" Speaking of my wish at the time, Bai Dongxu seemed great.

In 1994, under the introduction of a friend, Bai Dongxu received the first list to be created by himself. A bar needs to make a large piece of relief for decoration. Although the paid was not high, Bai Dongxu still took it down. Bar opened in December, it was already November when receiving orders, and the construction period was very tense. "Because of the cold weather and the gypsum is not dry, I blow it with a hair dryer. I also asked the uncle to burn the boiler to help me bake. I thought about many ways, but I was afraid of delaying the opening of others." Bai Dongxu recalled.

In 2003, Bai Dongxu planted a few gourds in the yard. After the gourd grew up, he had the idea of ​​creating on the gourd. "It was really difficult at first, because there was no experience and no dedicated teachers to ask. All the processes were exploring and trying little by little." After repeated attempts, Bai Dongxu touched the carved gourd peeled, drying, drying , Practicing, engraving, painting, etc. of various steps.

The meaning of the gourd means Fulu, because of the beautiful meaning of the gourd, Bai Dongxu's love for gourds is increasing, all kinds of flowers and birds, auspicious patterns, etc. After he is hot, it is vivid and exquisite.

Bai Dongxu will not only make gourd pyrographs. Chinese paintings, oil paintings, clay sculptures, paper plate pyrographs, etc. are all the objects he likes to create and research. "Beginning in 2004, work is not so busy, I want to start recovering my hobbies again!" Bai Dongxu said to reporters while talking about the work.

For more than ten years, after Bai Dongxu's continuous conception and exploration, no matter what kind of material, his clever hand can become a wonderful crafts. These seemingly irrelevant elements have changed in the hands of Bai Dongxu. Life has become exquisite works. "I never thought of selling my work to sell, and my friend liked me a few.
