Recently, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism issued the "Public Announcement on Drawing 12 Tourism Scenic Area as the National 5A Tourist Scenic Area." The publicity proposes that after the recommendation of the cultural and tourism administrative departments of the province (district, city), the Ministry of Culture and Tourism organize a comprehensive assessment of the procedures, and the 12 tourist attractions have reached the standard requirements of the national 5A -level tourist attraction, and are planned to be determined to be a national 5A -level tourist attraction. The publicity period is from July 6 to July 12.

Twelve tourist attractions include: Yellow River Putou Waterfall Tourism Area (Linfen City, Shanxi Province, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province), Taizhou Fusheng Cultural Tourism Zone, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province, three hundred mountain scenic spots in Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, and Weishan Lake, Jining City, Shandong Province Tourism Zone, Jigongshan Scenic Area, Xinyang City, Henan Province, Three Gorges Waterfall Scenic Area, Yichang City, Hubei Province, Huangyao Ancient Town Scenic Area, Hezhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Baidi Qutang Scenic Area, Baidi City, Fengjie County, Chongqing , Guizhou Province, Weijin Cave Scenic Area, Guanyangou Scenic Area, Longnan City, Gansu Province, and Jiangbrack Scenic Spot, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
