Recently, the Changsha Public Resources Trading Platform released the "Announcement of the Bidding for the Fourth Plan Construction Planning Project of Changsha City Rail Transit". This means that the fourth round of Metro Construction Planning in Changsha is started.

Line 7 is planned to open to traffic in 2027

The project of Changsha Metro Line 7 starts at Yuntang Station, laid along Huijin Road, Shaoshan Road and Bayi Road, and stops at Wuli Station. The line is 17.308 kilometers long, all of which are underground lines.

There are 16 stations, all of which are underground stations, including 9 transfer stations.

Metro Line 7 crosses the Changzhutan Intercity Railway and the Beijing -Guangzhou Railway, and has traveled to existing rail transit lines 4 times. Moreover, because the main flow of people and the large traffic volume is supplemented by Shaoshan Road, the surrounding environment of the line is complicated, resulting in difficulty in transportation, pipeline relocation, and greening.

As of now, 12 stations have entered the station surrounding structure construction throughout the Metro Line 7. Three stations are carrying out traffic solution, pipeline relocation and construction, and the comprehensive realization of more than half of the time and more than half of the task.

At the same time, the green relocation work of the first phase of the project has been basically completed, and the work of transportation and the relocation of pipelines have also been promoted smoothly, laying a solid foundation for the upcoming main construction of the entire line.

Metro Line 8 is positioned as the urban rail ring line, connecting key areas such as Hunan Financial Center, Golden Eagle Film and Television City, Changsha South Station, Provincial Government New City, Yanghu New Town, University Science and Technology City, and Municipal New District.
