On the side of the Tanjiang River in Lily Town, Kaiping, there is an ancient and tranquil village -Ma Luo Long Village.

It is composed of 5 small natural villages. They are: Yong'an, Nan'an, Hedong, Qinglin and Longjiang. Five natural villages are like a bead chain, which are distributed between green mountains and green water. Here, it is a masterpiece of harmonious coexistence of man and nature. In the immersive, green bamboo fluttering, birds and flowers, it makes people feel like being in Taoyuan Wonderland.

The Ma Luo Long Village is called "the beautiful village of the world" by the United Nations experts. It is a model of harmonious coexistence of man and nature, and a world cultural heritage.

People go to Ma Luolong for sightseeing and only pay attention to the beautiful scenery here. No one pays attention to the meaning of Ma Luolong's name. How does it come? how to read?

Someone of Ma Luolong Village settled in the late Ming Dynasty. Huang Faqin, the seventh ancestor of the Huang family, moved from Hounshan Village on the west bank of the Jiangxi Bank to become the earliest developer.

It was not until the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty that the Huang family reproduced into a village, that is, today's Yongan Village; the Huang family of the Huang family (1875-1908) in the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty built Nan'an Village again. When the Huang family formed Yong'an Village during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, this area was called "Fengsheng Meng", which means that the wind and rain are smooth and the harvest of the year.

Why is it named "Ma Luolong"?

The origin of the "Ma Luo" village name is quite interesting, and there is a beautiful legend:

During the Republic of China, the new name of the people of Huang and Guan from the natural environment was: Ma Luolong.

This is because the Tanjiang River is turning over the sea, and it has flooded all year round.

And because there is a towering mountain lying horizontally behind the village, the locals call the poisonous insects "蜈" as "a hundred feet". The ancient saying cloud "a hundred -footed bugs, dead but not stiff", called "a hundred feet" is a one -inch of Masu. The locals believe that "the hundred is a dragon, and the dragon is happy and the wind and rain." Because of the severe disaster for several years, the feng shui of this mountain is not good. The villagers hope to build the dragon (Maluwa) with Malay.

He also believes that Mashan, who is a few kilometers in the east of the village, can take this heavy task, and can keep one side safe, so he changed the name of the village to "Malaysia".
