Jimu reporters learned that the incident of the Grand Canyon Drifting Scenic Area in Luanchuan County. On August 5, 2021, the scenic spot was suspended in response to the government's epidemic prevention demand, and business drift was resumed on July 2 this year. Scenic information shows that the drifting is 9.8 kilometers in length and a cumulative gap of 168 meters.

On July 3rd, a relevant person in charge of the scenic spot, Mr. Zhao (Hua) told reporters that the statement was exaggerated. He explained that around 4 pm on the 2nd, the rafting upstream suddenly dropped heavy rain, and the current became very turbulent. The staff of the scenic spot then evacuated tourists. Many tourists abandoned the boat and left, and the remaining empty ships stayed in the water. There is a boat card near the middle of the rafting. Later ships collided in succession to form congestion. Some of them were empty boats, and some were tourists who could evacuate in the future. Some tourists were injured in the water. Mr. Zhao said that there were 23 people who were injured, and one of them was misplaced. The scenic area refunded the ticket afterwards and bears medical expenses.

A deputy mayor in charge of tourism in Taowan Town, Luanchuan County introduced that the accident in the scenic area did cause 23 tourists to be injured. On the evening of the 2nd, the scenic spot had expanded maintenance measures such as the river section of the accident, and also planned to increase the staff of inspection safety.
