National Pipe Network has transported natural gas to Hong Kong for nearly 12 billion cubic meters

The transportation of natural gas nearly 12 billion cubic meters promoted the increase in the ratio of natural gas power generation in Hong Kong to more than 50%, and transforming power to meet the demand for electricity for residents of Hong Kong.

Due to various factors such as regional factors, Hong Kong residents failed to use natural gas on a large scale before supplying gas for Hong Kong. In order to promote the sustainable green development of Hong Kong, the state has incorporated Hong Kong into the overall planning of gas supply, and determines that through the layout of underwater pipelines, natural gas is sent to thousands of households in Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong branch pipeline is responsible for the operation and management of the Guangdong Provincial Pipeline. The total length of the pipeline is nearly 30 kilometers. It was completed and put into production on December 19, 2012, and had the conditions for gas supply to Hong Kong; on March 9, 2013, it was officially supplying natural gas to Hong Kong.

For Hong Kong natural gas underwater pipelines through large shovel channels, dragon drums and copper drums, more than 3,000 ships pass through. In order to prevent ships from breaking back near the submarine pipeline, the competent department arranges to cruise along the ship every day, and cruises about 700 times a year.

"In the past 10 years, the Hong Kong branch line has continued to transport high -quality natural gas clean energy for Hong Kong, which is equivalent to reducing more than 20 million tons of carbon dioxide." Lai Shaochuan, secretary of the party committee and chairman of Guangdong Province, said that safe, stable, and efficiently supply natural gas for Hong Kong.
