Another Japanese "comfort woman" system victim died of only 12 survivors in the mainland

The reporter learned from the China Comfort Women's Problem Research Center of Shanghai Normal University that at 4 am on the 30th, the victims of the Japanese "comfort women" system, Lei Jin, died at the age of 97 at the home of Huarong County, Yueyang City, Hunan Province.

On May 21, 2021, the Hunan Investigation Team of the China Comfort Women's Problem Research Center went to Huarong County to investigate and visited the elderly Lei Jin. Through the old population, the supplementary proof of the elderly, and the field inspection of the victim's place, the research center confirmed the identity of the victim of the Japanese "comfort women" system.

Lei Jinji was born in 1925. One day in 1943, in order to protect his young daughter, Lei Jinli was unfortunately caught by the Japanese and imprisoned at the Japanese stronghold. During his imprisonment, Lei Jinji suffered sexual violence from the Japanese army. Ten days after the incident, Lei Jiner's father had all his wealth and rescued her from the Japanese army.

The old man's old age was quiet and stable, and the sons took turns to take care of it. On the 30th, volunteers from the Research Center received a notice from the family members of the elderly that the old man of Lei Jin died at home at 4 am on the same day because of his weak age.

In recent years, the research center's investigation team has repeatedly visited Hunan, Hainan, Shanxi and other places. Through field visits, listening to the victim's dictation, and reviewing the county aspects, they established research files.
