National Taiwan Affairs Office: "1992 Consensus" should not be distorted and cannot be destroyed

In response to the recent statement of the Chinese Kuomintang's "1992 Consensus", a spokesman for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council stated on the 29th that the "1992 Consensus" defines the nature of cross -strait relations in the mainland and Taiwan.The number of conventions should not be distorted, let alone abandon.Adhering to the "1992 Consensus" and opposing "Taiwan independence" is the common political basis for our interaction with the Chinese Kuomintang.
