Daxingzhai Reservoir is located at the end of the Wuling Mountains. It is connected to the 5A scenic area of ​​the Dwarf Village, Eighteen Cave, Decong Decaying Grand Canyon, with excellent conditions, rich water resources, cultivated land and tourism resources. Tourism products such as hydrophilic amusement, creating a hydrophilic leisure tourism base that integrates water leisure, outdoor sports, leisure vacations, and establish a special immigration tourism town.

After the project is completed, it will comprehensively improve the urban flood prevention capacity and water supply guarantee capacity of Jishou City, Xiangxi Prefecture, and improve the irrigation conditions of the agricultural industry in Jishou. The flood control capacity has been increased from 10 years to 50 years. The area of ​​control is 24,700 mu.
