The color depth of the soil is related to many factors. The higher the organic matter content of the soil, the more humus, the darker the color. The thick black soil layer is very conducive to the growth of crops.

However, since reclamation, due to the reuse of light recuperation, wind erosion and other reasons, the thickness of the black soil in the northeast of my country has been reduced by nearly 40 cm, which has brought hidden concerns to the sustainable development of my country's agricultural agriculture and food security.

In order to strengthen the protection and utilization of black land, relevant national departments have successively introduced many measures. On June 24, 2022, the 35th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress approved the Black Land Protection Law, which will be implemented from August 1, 2022. Heilongjiang, Jilin and other provinces have also introduced local regulations to protect black land, and through some specific protection measures, they fully mobilize farmers' enthusiasm and "refuel" black land.

In Lishu County, Siping City, Jilin Province, people use the pear tree model to protect the black land. This method of covering the field with straw not only reduces the wind and water erosion of the soil, but also increases the organic matter of the soil and effectively protects the black land. At present, the pear trees have been promoting an area of ​​more than 50 million mu in the northeast.

Don't worry about the black soil. Today's black soil is getting darker and darker. People have stabilized the "Great Country Grain" and the confidence of "Chinese rice bowls".
