On June 22, the award ceremony of the traditional sports base of minority ethnic minorities in Yunnan Province was held in the Yunnan Sports Work Brigade. The Yunnan Provincial Sports Bureau and the Yunnan Provincial Ethnic Religious Affairs Committee awarded 17 units in the two batches of traditional sports bases in Yunnan Province last year and this year. Zhang Xiaoshu, deputy director of the Provincial Sports Bureau, Li Zhenghong, deputy director of the Provincial National Religious Commission, representatives of the evaluated units and traditional sports experts of minority ethnic minorities in Yunnan attended the award ceremony.

In 2021, the Yunnan Provincial Sports Bureau and the Yunnan Provincial Ethnic Religious Affairs Committee jointly studied and formulated the "Management Measures for the Construction of Traditional Sports Bases in the Yunnan Province (Trial)". Then follow the principles of openness, fairness, justice and voluntary, and use the combination of project management and declaration system to carry out declaration work in accordance with the prescribed authority, scope, conditions and procedures.

After completing the application, preliminary review, recommendation and coordination management of ethnic minority sports bases in various regions (bureaus) of the Education and Sports Bureau and State (Municipal) Ethnic Religious Commission (Bureau) Earnestly studied and selected staff, a review expert group was established. Last year and this year, two batches of traditional sports bases in the Yunnan provinces were selected, and 17 units in 18 projects were selected.

At the awarding ceremony, Li Guangye, the captain of the Yunnan Sports Brigade, said the evaluation base. He said that the sports brigade will play a bridge and bond, work with the units to undertake the construction of traditional sports bases of ethnic minorities, explore the traditional sports of ethnic minorities, Reserve talent selection and training model, improve the athlete selection, exchanges and coaches selection mechanisms, promote the sustainable development of the project, and improve the level of competition.

In addition, the activity also organized the province's sports experts to conduct discussions and exchanges on the sports work of ethnic minorities in Yunnan Province. Zhang Xiaoshu, deputy director of the Provincial Sports Bureau, and Li Zhenghong, deputy director of the Provincial National Religious Commission, affirmed the achievements of ethnic minority sports projects, and put forward requirements for the next step. Lu Huihui, Director of the Provincial Sports Bureau, presided over the meeting and introduced the development of ethnic minorities. Liao Wei, director of the Sports Department, shared the experience of competitive sports training and preparations. Experts and representatives of national sports fields and representatives of the evaluation bases exchanged speeches.
