The Kunming Railway Transport Procuratorate prosecuted accusation: The defendant Zhang Zejun used the position of as the deputy director of the Yunnan Provincial Department of Agriculture and the director of the Provincial Animal Husbandry Bureau, the Deputy Secretary of the Lincang Municipal Party Committee, the Mayor of Lijiang City, and the party secretary of the Yunnan Provincial Science and Technology Association. For benefits and illegally accepting other people's property, the amount is particularly huge, and it should be held criminally responsible for bribery.

In August 2021, the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection reported that according to the news of the Yunnan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection, Zhang Zejun, Secretary of the Party Group and Executive Vice Chairman of the Yunnan Provincial Science and Technology Association, was suspected of serious disciplinary violations and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation.
