Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, June 23rd. Comrade Zhang Zhijian, former director of the Central Editorial Committee Office, died in Beijing on June 16, 2022 at the age of 85.

Zhang Zhijian, born in May 1937, Panzhihua, Sichuan. He joined the work in August 1960 and joined the Communist Party of China in June of the same year. From April 1982 to August 1986, he served as the director and director of the Labor Bureau of the Labor Department. From August 1986 to April 1988, he served as a member of the party group of the Labor Department, the director of the Comprehensive Planning Bureau, the deputy minister, the member of the party group, the secretary of the party committee, and the director of the reform office of the State Council. From April 1988 to January 1995, he successively served as Deputy Minister of Personnel, Members of the Party Group, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Organization and Director of the State Editorial Committee Office, Deputy Minister of Personnel Department, Member of the Party Group, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Organization and Deputy Director of the Central Editorial Committee. From January 1995 to March 1998, he served as Deputy Minister of Personnel, Deputy Secretary of the Party Group, Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Central Editorial Committee of the Central Committee. From March 1998 to December 1999, he served as Secretary of the Party Committee of the National Academy of Administration, Deputy Dean (Ministry of Ministry) and Deputy Director of the Central Editorial Committee. From December 1999 to December 2000, he served as executive deputy director (head of the ministry) and secretary of the party committee of the Central Editorial Committee. From December 2000 to September 2002, he served as director of the Central Editorial Committee Office.

Zhang Zhijian is a member of the Standing Committee of the 10th National People's Congress and deputy chairman of the Internal Affairs and Judicial Committee.
