Jiangmen once had 33 farms there was

It is said that more than 1,000 years ago, the place where Jiangmen was located was still an ocean. Only some small islands floated on the water. The more prominent in the small island was Penglai Mountain (the place where Jiangmen No.1 Middle School was located), Yantun Mountain (near Pengyuan Square), and Phoenix Mountain. (Now Cultural City). About the late Yuan and early Ming Dynasty, our ancestors opened a market field on the Penglai mountainside, called "Jiangmen Market", which is the current market.

Today's Jiangmen City District, the first building was on the beach by the river, and became a birthday due to the simple commodity exchange between the countryside; more than 600 years later, the blocks derived from it, Liaoping Road, Changdi Street, Chang'an Road, Chang'an Road In the wait, it is still the distribution center of small commodities.

Thirty -three markets, the name is derived from the 33 -level bluestone layer ladder of the water bouquet.

This street was built during the Qing Dynasty. It is the top street of the market. It can even be traced back to the Ming Dynasty. It has a history of more than 600 years. As early as the first year of the Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty, there was a sign of the ‘three truffles”, which was about the ‘rated stone’ on Fengning Street.

The "grade stone" of Jiangmen Fengning Street is 33rd. This is the transitional head of the original Pengjiang River. The word "Jiangmen" is written on the gate. That is the top of the market today.

At the top of the market, it is recognized as the original point in the origin of Jiangmen City. Those who come to the market naturally have business, so there are chicken land, Jingguo Street, Tietie Street, Southeast Sheng Street, Xin Sheng Street ... near the "grade stone", there are one or two surnames (Kaiping People) Set up the shop to "hit iron" and forge the tool. Yu's surname is narrow, so the business name "Three Toriac Wares".

The shops on both sides of the market at the top of the market have witnessed the vicissitudes and glorious prosperity of Jiangmen hundreds of years, and are the symbol of urban history and economic and cultural development.
