Once, Liu Guizhen went to see a doctor. The bicycle was broken halfway. When a villager in the neighboring village passed by, she found her bicycle and helped her carry the bicycle home. After Liu Guizhen returned home and heard her husband's narrative, she shed tears. In 1988, the only teacher in Duanjiawan Primary School left, and the children stopped classes. The father said, "You are temporarily topped", Liu Guizhen also served as a substitute teacher, and taught until the second half of 2017. This "temporary" survival is 29 years.

For a long time, Liu Guizhen won the trust of the villagers. In 1996, she served as the secretary of the village party branch and the director of the village committee in 2003.

Driven by her, there are more and more villagers breeding seedlings. She not only gave money to the villagers, but also became a technical instructor. Later, Duanjiawan Village established the seedlings cooperative, registered a trademark named after "Liu Guizhen", and became a well -known seedling base. By the end of 2017, all the poor households in Duanjiawan Village were poverty alleviation. Now the village has grown 120 acres of seedlings and 4,000 acres of sea buckthorn, and the average net income of poverty alleviation is more than 10,000 yuan.
