The Kremlin Palace of the Russian Presidential Palace said on the 27th that Russia's two major pipelines "Beixi-1" and "Beixi-2" that Russia transported natural gas to Europe was damaged. At this stage, the possibility of deliberate destruction of these two pipelines could not be ruled out.

"Beixi-1" and "Beixi-2" pipeline operators reported on the 26th that the two pipelines encountered "unprecedented" damage within the same day and detected the leakage status. The reason is being investigated.

Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov told media reporters on the 27th that Russia paid close attention to the incident that "the air pressure in the pipeline dropped sharply, which is indeed an unprecedented situation and needs to be investigated immediately." Peskov said the situation of the "Beixi" pipeline will affect the energy security of the entire Europe.

When asked if the "Beixi" pipeline may be deliberately destroyed, Peskov replied: "At this stage, no option cannot be ruled out at this stage."

The "Beixi-1" pipeline was completed in 2011. It starts from Russia Veylon in the east and leads to Germany via the bottom of the Baltic Sea. This pipeline has suspended Qi due to maintenance from August 31. Russia's Natural Gas Industry Co., Ltd. (Russia) said on September 2 that "Beixi-1" will completely stop the gas transmission due to the failure of multiple equipment failure until the failure is eliminated.

The "Beixi-2" pipeline was completed last year and was basically parallel to the main pipeline of "Beixi-1". Due to being blocked by the United States and Western sanctions, the "Beixi-2" was not put into use, but some natural gas seals still have pipelines.
