The newly -built Xiangyang -Jingmen high -speed railway is part of the "Hunan Channel" of the "Eight vertical and Eight Heng" high -speed railway channels for the medium and long -term railway network. The project is located in southwestern Hubei, from Xiangyang City, Hubei Province in the north. Xianghe and other rivers are flowing through the Hanjiang River venue and low mountain hills.

This project is introduced from Xiangyang East Station, and from Yicheng Yicheng to the Jingmen West Station of High -speed Railway along the river and Chongqing Rong. The length of the main line is 116.8km. It is estimated that the total investment is 19.744 billion yuan, the design speed is 350km/h, and the construction period is 3.5 years. 47 new bridges were 74.991 kilometers, 24 tunnels were 20.535 kilometers, and the bridge tunnel ratio was 81.78%. There are 4 stations on the entire line, namely Xiangyang East Station (existing), Yicheng North Station, Shuanghe Station (Yuexing), and Jingmen West Station.

The newly -built Xiangyang to Jingmen high -speed railway is an important part of the Hunan Channel, and it is an important collaborative channel for the western wing of the Beijing -Hong Kong -Macao Channel. ; It is an important people's livelihood project that promotes the development of resources along the line and builds the ecological and cultural tourism circle in western Hubei; it is a high -speed railway that undertakes medium and long -distance passenger flows and takes into account the Xiangyang Metropolitan Circle and Yijing Metropolis Circle.
