According to reports, the site is huge scale and complete system, which is rare at home and abroad. It has been discovered by domestic and foreign sites to date. The most complete maritime Silk Road site is found. It is a major harvest of my country's ocean and urban archeology in recent years. It reproduces the prosperity of Wenzhou Port during the Song and Yuan Dynasties, confirming that this is an irreplaceable node on the Maritime Silk Road, and has become the most powerful proof of our city to build a thousand -year -old commercial port.

Freints ruins. Northern direction to south

The site was discovered in the archeological pre -archeological work under Wangjiang Road last year. The excavation area of ​​the site is 5,000 square meters, and it is moving towards the east -west. East to the west side of the "Thirteen Floor", the west to the east of the Jiangdong Road in the west, more than 400 meters long, and the widest point is 18 meters. The ruins such as the Gate and Wharf of the North Daimen of Wenzhou were discovered, and the relics such as shipwrecks, porcelain pieces, and lacquer wood were unearthed. The span of various types of reasons continued from the Northern Song Dynasty to the Republic of China, mainly Song and Yuan.

The site is divided into three parts: the city (the small town built outside the city gate), the water gate head, and the Jiangan terminal group. There are two ruins in the west of the site. One place was a rectangular during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The other stack is under it, which can be traced back to the Song and Yuan dynasties, and it is semi -circular.

The Watergate Terminal Excavation Area is located on the east of the site with abundant ruins. Next to them, where they are closer to the Minjiang River, there are the river banks, bridges and steep gates of the Southern Song Dynasty. It is closer to the river on the surface of the Southern Song Dynasty. This shows that over time, the south bank of the Minjiang River has gradually accumulated, and people expand the city boundary towards the river.

Between the crickets and the water gate, there are six docks, including masonry roads, wooden boardwalks, wooden structures, and masonry structure buildings, wells, etc., and are all the Southern Song Dynasty.

Among the relics, two shipwrecks are particularly important. One is a 20 -meter -long Southern Song Dynasty. The hull is broken but the structure is still complete. This kind of Fujian building wooden sailing boat is suitable for ocean sailing. The other is to be excavated. "Such a complete Song Dynasty shipwreck, rare in China," introduced Liang Yanhua, director of the Municipal Institute of Cultural Relics and Archeology. The relics also include a large number of Songyuan Longquan porcelain fragments, which were generally exported at the time. This reflects the Chinese products represented by Longquan Porcelain, who once entered the sea from Wenzhou and marketing the world.

Shipwreck

The above -mentioned archeological discovery confirmed that Wenzhou Port was an important maritime trade node since the Song and Yuan Dynasties. Its site not only has a large scale, complete relics, and clear age, but also forms a complete system with the ancient city of Wenzhou, Guyu, ancient channels, and ancient airlines. Today, China has practiced the "Belt and Road" initiative and building a community of human destiny, providing a historical footnote.

The Gate ancient port site reproduces the grand occasion of the ancient city of Wenzhou and the Millennium Commercial Port. Here, centered on the urban pattern of the elements of the docks, ships, trade, etc., and the breath of life, reflect the changes in the era of local development, and also provide fresh samples for Chinese urban archeology.
