Deep Mountain follows him for 22 years of panda in the mountains

In 2000, Liang Liang, who graduated shortly after graduation, was selected to participate in the third giant panda survey to search for the trace of giant pandas. The day of the panda is shallow, chasing the big panda, and it is 22 years.

The Nature Reserve of Jiuding Mountain, Sichuan, is located in the southern foot of Mount Mountain and dense vegetation. It is the core habitat of the small panda Jiuding Mountain.

In the summer of 2001, Liao Liang followed the investigation team to enter the Jiuding Mountain area located in Mianzhu and Shi. When he was 2,100 meters above sea level, and turned over the mountain beam called "Dashan Tree", he found that the giant panda feces containing unbuneded bamboo fiber were found.

Liao Liang's patrol team has at least 8 times a year, which takes about 7 days each time.

"It is not deliberately looking for a living panda. We mainly look for the traces of their activity through a fixed route." Liao Liang said that according to the distribution of the giant panda habitat, the investigation team selected people from low altitude to high high to high high. During a patrol in 2004, Liao Liang "encountered" a wild black bear with his teammates. Perhaps it was a group of people's marching routes too close to it, about 50 meters, and the black bear kept roaring to demonstrate. "For the first time, facing the threat of large wild animals, we thought it was going to rush over, and everyone was numb." Liao Liang judged that it may be aware of people's actions and was frightened. The sound lasted for about a minute, and the black bear left himself.

"We found the actual trace of the actual life of a large number of wild pandas, but it was not until 2019 that we saw the live wild panda for the first time." Liang Liang said.

Beginning in 2018, Jiuding Mountain Nature Reserve began to install infrared cameras for monitoring, and "pursued" wild pandas at a close range. From 2019 to the present, Mianzhu has been shot for wild panda activities for 4 consecutive years and 5 times.

The back of the giant panda was shot in 2019, and the front of the giant panda was shot in 2020. In 2021, the first time the panda "mother and child were in the same frame", and the second shooting "perianal gland label behavior" was shot. This is also the first time since the pilot pilot of the Deyang Grand Panda National Park system. In 2022, the infrared camera also shot the giant panda "looking up".

In February 2015, the National Forestry Administration announced the results of the fourth giant panda survey in the country. As of the end of 2013, there were 1,864 wild panda populations across the country, and the number of big panda population reached 375. There are 35 small pandas in Jiuding Mountain, which is consistent with the results of the third survey.

Liao Liang said that in the past 10 years, the country's protection of wild pandas has been increasing. Among them, the number of professional institutions involved in the protection of pandas has been increasing, the professional quality and ability of grassroots staff are continuously improved, and protection measures are becoming more scientific and refined. "The shooting of their activities indicates that the region's giant panda has a good condition, and the vegetation and ecological environment in the protected area have been significantly improved."

From 2 people to 25 people, the wild patrol team of the Mianzhu Management Station of Jiuding Mountain Nature Reserve is getting larger and larger, but it is a little regrettable that they have not seen wild pandas with their own eyes. Liao Liang said that in general, wild pandas will not be close to others. Unless it has injuries or changes in living habitats, it will take the initiative to approach humans when they need help. "I have worked for so many years, and I haven't seen big pandas, nothing, because we know that they have been living well."
