About a year and a half ago, the couple of Li Yeye rented the nearly 30 acres of farms. While transforming themselves, they slowly integrated into the island's rural life. The transformation is still in the first stage. From time to time, Li Yeye shares the island daily on social platforms: transformation experience, design ideas, natural scenery, and environmental protection. The houses and three meals of the houses that the couple can polish themselves are simple and exquisite. Two or three years ago, my partner and I took care of a soft outfit design studio in Changsha. Mr. Yan Yan was in Yantai and was an architectural designer. At the beginning of 2020, we ended a long -distance relationship, prepared to settle in Changsha after marriage, and spend a conventional urban life: buying a house, having children, working hard, and occasional travel and leisure.

We once met, waiting for the 40s to hug the pastoral together. The character of our two is very complementary. He loves the mountains and water, and has the habit of yoga and meditation. At the time, the lively and fireworks of Changsha are even more nostalgic.

Unexpectedly, the life in the agreement can be fulfilled for more than ten years in advance. I wonder if it is an unexpected "joy"?

In 2020, I was sick, so I stopped all jobs. With the company of my husband, I actively received treatment. In the treatment of the treatment, in order to adjust the state, we started to travel through our hearts. Later, we drove between Changsha and Yantai, and we were also camping. In fact, as early as the year when Yan Yan and I met, in 2017, we rented a house on the Royal Island of Yantai to make wood workshops, studios, and plant vegetables.

The farm is near the slope in the center of the island. There is no sea fishy smell, with an area of ​​nearly 30 acres, and the rent is still tolerated. At that time, I climbed up the roof and could look at the sea from a distance. Finally, I have the opportunity to realize many desires that have no time to take care of it. We thought so and paid the rent for 16 years. In April 2021, the transformation officially started.

We are almost in person, although busy, but we are very focused. I used to work overtime in the past, and the daily rhythm was very fast. After going to the island, "time" became less important and could not even measure our lives. Just like when taking care of the garden or vegetable land, it passed unknowingly in the morning, and he could complete so many labor tasks and felt the rare leisure and enrichment in the past.

The changes in seasonal and seasonal are closely related to life. I like the snow here; the footsteps of spring are very clear. Looking at the desolate recovery in front of me, the vitality is particularly inspired and reflected in my state of mind; the summer life and sea points in summer are not open, the temperature on the island is often there is often in the island. Below 35 ° C, the sea water has been washed away; the autumn is the most lively, and the entire orchard and farmland are harvesting and blooming. We know that rural life is not so convenient than cities. But the real state is still slightly different from our imagination. In my husband's words: "Although I like it, but when I don't know enough about the land, I put it in."

We intend to transform five farmhouses into master bedrooms, secondary bedrooms, workshops and restaurants, woodworking workshops, and warehouses without a big move. I originally thought, while transforming, I shared my experience on social platforms, and when my physical condition was better, I would draw more, do more devices, and even regain some designs related work. Essence

However, from April last year to the present, we have only completed the construction of a farmhouse and its front and rear yard. It has temporarily become the main house to accommodate the bedroom, workshop and open kitchen.

This farmhouse used to be a chicken -breed house with cement noodles. It was about 100 square meters. The ground was messy and the space was not transparent. We dismantled a large number of cement columns in the room, opened the entire house, and softened the space with furniture.

The abandoned cement column is recycled and used to become part of the basic materials of the kitchen cabinet, which can reduce the budget and beautiful. The cement has high hardness, strong plasticity, and a calm gray tone and wooden furniture.

We do not change the structure of the house, try to make a cleaning type: apply the wall, re -use the horizontal base pad to the ground, and remove the plastic steel doors and windows. My husband and the local carpenter master made a new pine wooden door and window ...

In the northern winter, heating is important. After groping slowly, a pillar -type fireplace was set up with cement. It cost a lot of effort to correct the flue and test functions, but it was really cured to look at the fire light and eat it around the fireplace. We have also considered adding a thermal insulation layer to the house, but the cost is relatively high, and we decided to negotiate from a long period of time.

In the countryside, of course, you can hire people to complete all the transformations and work, but in my opinion, the ability to handle is still the foundation of life. It seems more meaningful to formulate an overall plan with a sense of design, and then realize it. Moreover, unless there is a very sufficient renovation budget like such a large farm, it is impossible to fake people.

My husband and I divided the labor. I focused on interior design. He took care of the garden fields and carpentry work. Out of interest, I also learned very useful skills, tiles, carpenter, planting ... These non -necessary skills can really bring more creativity to life.

Kotitu is the common hobby of our husband and wife. Yan Yan and I met at the woodworking workshop. In 2017, after work, I learned a carpentry at Changbai Mountain. I experienced ten days and learned to make a wooden chair. He stayed there for three months and learned more systematically. My husband's major is architectural design, but in the past, the work in the design institute was inevitable that he felt burnout. Instead, he was a wooden work, both construction and creation. He liked it very much.

Furniture forms a soft partition

In the past, we often made small life objects or sculptures. When we arrived at the farm, we made furniture ourselves.

There are three types of furniture in the main house, with large pieces of display cabinets, dining cabinets, and bed racks. Most of them are made with cherry wood, black walnut wood, etc. with the older woodworkers on the local area; second It is our work. I found a piece of wood. The wooden knot of the wood is like the eyes. Two small borders were put out of the corners of the furniture.

The funding for the transformation of the chicken room is 50,000. However, from the end of last year to the present, it was not a furniture. The overall infrastructure of the farm and the hard installation and reconstruction of chicken rooms cost about 300,000. The transformation of infrastructure was time -consuming and large, far exceeding our expectations.

Initially, all rooms were not connected to water, and the load with electricity was also very low, and it could almost only provide one vertical air -conditioning operation. The transformation of hydropower is inevitable. This change has passed in the past 7 months.

Both the wires and the water pipe have to be exclusive. The original tap water pipe was damaged, and we decided to lead well water. Fortunately, there is a mineral water factory on the island, which uses more traditional methods to make segmented water into water and make three layers of filtration for direct drinking water to ensure health. Please come to the excavator to laid water pipes and water pipes in the front and houses of the three farmhouses. The pipeline is more than 500 meters.

If hydropower infrastructure is over, the workload will be much smaller. In fact, when we just discovered this problem, we had to adjust all the plans and had a period of anxiety. Fortunately, they can support each other, have the belief of solving problems, and their families are very tolerant. My dad was a senior electrician before retirement. I was invited by Changsha and helped for 6 months. What he was most worried about was that I couldn't deal with such a big place with Yan Yan, especially when I was still in the period of physical recovery, I couldn't be too tired. ▲

Of course more than one difficulty. I was born in ring art. I originally felt that green transformation was not difficult. After practice, I found that the planning knowledge was almost impossible to exert it, but there were too many planting skills to be supplemented. We first bought more than 10,000 seeds and raised thousands of seedlings, but the survival rate was very low. Coupled with the wind on the island, the seedlings that were easy to survive were half dead. The planting area of ​​nearly 300 square meters can only be carried out in blocks, otherwise the early investment will be too large.

When making a garden, you must also consider the seasonality of flowers and plants. There must be flowers and leaves in spring to autumn. In April, the blooming rose flowers can spread from the gate of the farm to the front yard of the chicken room. The front and rear gardens are planted a lot, as well as Dali flower, flower shallots, and peony. Winning is good care.

This summer, we opened a small camping barbecue area at the junction of persimmon forests and gardens. Digging of the soil, rock paving, and laying soft outfit. In addition to walnut trees, the farm also has a fruit tree, persimmon tree, pomegranate tree, cherry tree ...

From May to October, we all have fruit to eat. Figs have the most spring and autumn, and they are small and sweet. If the walnut is too late to pick it, pick the mature fruits falling on the ground. There is a peach tree in front of the chicken room. Throughout the summer, a "snap!" Often heard that the peach left the closure of the branches and leaves, smashed directly into the ground, and slowly rotted into nutrients.

We are not good at planting vegetables, but we can finally distinguish the seasonal fruits and vegetables, and understand "not eaten from time to time." Last year, a local person was invited to help take care of the farmland. This year, I can only rely on myself to harvest a lot, but tomatoes, cucumber, bean horns, winter melon, pepper, etc. can be used to eat. Nepeta, coriander, green onions, leeks are available throughout the year. The tomatoes in the north are strong and delicious!

In my opinion, taking care of a farm is not "money" or "requires a lot of money", enthusiastically and sustainable export ideas, and to make your own "creation" at this land, it is the most. important.

Starting from the farm, walking about one kilometer can walk to the beach. This sea is beautiful, especially when the weather is good, and even the blue -green as well as glazed, and the sunset can put the sea and the sky golden.

The island has been living for a long time, and the frequency of going to the beach is getting higher and higher. Locals often rush to the sea during the ebb, and we have also tried. The most of the beaches are tweezers. If you are lucky, maybe you can find sea cucumbers. We also pick up some shells, stones, and sea glass.

Whenever the tide is tide, marine garbage may be rolled to the shore with the waves, with floating balls, mineral water bottles, fishing nets, shoes, foam boxes, and some unknown plastics. When I first saw a lot of marine garbage, I was shocked, and I felt that the sea seemed no longer blue. So if you want to do something, even if the power is very meager, the small water droplets can converge into waves.

In October last year, my mother and I walked around the sea and wanted to collect some flowers to come back and sow in the garden. Suddenly found a dark red floating ball, it was like an apple, and I took it home. The nearby waters belong to the breeding area, so there are floating balls by the sea from time to time. Life on the island is very regular. It is nothing more than three meals a day, indoor and outdoor labor, bending by the sea, and learning new knowledge. But the changes in the environment are invisible, and we seem to gradually integrate into a natural cycle of this island. Every day, you must drive to the road by yourself and put it in the designated large trash can. Therefore, we have done very detailed in terms of garbage classification. Dry garbage and recyclable garbage are easy to deal with, and most of the wet garbage "return" to the land. Several chickens raised in the farm to provide us with daily eggs needed. After the Mid -Autumn Festival, we started to reconstruct the second bedroom. The master bedroom will wait until next year. Because of the climate, it is not enough to build after November.

In the winter in the north, it is really green, and there are more Xiao Suo, but the snow here is so beautiful. After we are doing carpentry and craftsmanship, we can set up a snowy house in the woods. It is the most natural farmhouse. Each season, there are fun and glory belonging to it.
