In 1994, our district released the "Key Protection of Wild Animals in the Autonomous Region". In 2019, the "Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Key Protection of Aquatic Wildlife List" was released. These two lists played a positive role in protecting the management of wildlife resources and ecological environment.

In 2021, my country released the newly adjusted "National Key Protection of Wildlife List", which is compatible with the "National Key Protective Wildlife List", and combines the changes in wild animal resources in Xinjiang and the results of recent resource surveys and scientific research results. The autonomous region forestry and grassland bureaus, and the agricultural and rural departments of the autonomous region jointly carried out the adjustment of the "Key Protection of Wildlife List in the Autonomous Region", which has reduced the scope of population distribution, the number of populations has decreased, and the species that are not included in the scope of national key protection are given priority consideration. "List"; Wildlife types that are in dangerous risks to facing habitat destruction, edible medication or ornamental human capture, are also included in the "List", such as Belling, Pie Scorpion, Silk Butterfly.

After retaining, new and transferred to the types of national key protection, 56 kinds of wild animals were finally included in the "List", of which 18 key wild animals were protected by the autonomous region, and 38 types of wild animals were protected by the second -level autonomous region. ; 17 kinds of aquatic wildlife and 39 species of terrestrial wildlife.

It is understood that after the release of the new "List", the original "Key Protection of Wildlife List" and "Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Key Protection of Aquatic Wildlife List" were abolished at the same time.
