Xinhua News Agency, Hong Kong, June 22 (Reporter Zha Wenzhang) Li Jiachao, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, announced the list of members of the SAR New Executive Council on the 22nd.

The new Executive Council is composed of 21 major officials under the political commission system and 16 non -officials.Their term takes effect from July 1 this year.

The 16 non -officials and guards are Ye Liu Shuyi, Li Guozhang, Lin Jianfeng, Zhang Yuren, Liao Changjiang, Ren Zhigang, Tang Jiazheng, Lin Zhengcai, Liu Yeqiang, Zheng Muzhi, Liang Gaomei, Chen Jianbo, Chen Qingxia, Gao Yongwen, Wu Qiubei and Chen Keqin.Ye Liu Shuyi will be the convener of the new executive meeting.

Li Jiachao said: "Thanks to 16 non -officials and guards for accepting my invitation and serving as a member of the Executive Council. They have rich experience in different areas and can help me make important policy decisions."

According to the provisions of the Basic Law, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Conference is an institution to assist the Chief Executive's decision -making.The members of the Executive Council are appointed by the Chief Executive from the main officials, members of the Legislative Council, and the Central Council of the Chief Executive Organ.
