On September 26, the reconstruction and expansion project of the Cangzhou section of the Rongwu Expressway was officially started.

The Cangzhou section of the Rongwu Expressway (G18) is the common line segment of the National Highway Network G25 Changshen Expressway and G18 Rongwu Expressway. Part, and also one of the important channels connecting Northeast, North China, East China and South China.

The Rongwu Expressway (G18) Cangzhou section is located in Haixing County, Bohai New District, and Huanghua City, Cangzhou City. The total length is 69.068 kilometers, two -way four -lane. The project officially started on September 20, 2004, and was opened to traffic on December 26, 2007.

Since the operation of traffic, the traffic volume has grown rapidly, and the service level of both roads can no longer meet the traffic needs of the vehicle. At the same time, the Rongwu High -speed Shandong and Tianjin docking sections are both two -way six -lane standards. This section has become a "bottleneck" section. Reform and expansion must be implemented. The Rongwu Expressway (G18) Cangzhou section reconstruction and expansion project has been included in the "Fourteenth Five -Year Plan" of the Hebei Provincial Highway Development. This project is expanded to two -way six -lane lanes on both sides of the original road. The main line design speed is 120 km/h, and the width of the roadbed is 34.5 meters. The newly-built bridge and culvert design is the highway-Ⅰ level, which uses the section to maintain the original design load. Other technical indicators are implemented according to the "Highway Engineering Technical Standard" (JTG B01-2014). It is estimated that the total investment is about 4.7 billion yuan, and the construction period is 2 years.
