According to the Shanghai Border Defense and Public Security of Hong Kong and Airlines, it was identified by animal experts, and the crocodile was a sub -adult Siam crocodile, which was mainly distributed in Southeast Asia, and it was aggressive. The Border Defense Port and Airlines Branch, together with the Xuhui Branch for 6 consecutive days, carried out "carpet" water -and -land search along the Huangpu River coast, and used 12 public security boats, 30 police cars, and 144 police forces. In the afternoon of September 25, the crocodile trace was found at a embankment in Xuhui Bin.
The police first contacted the relevant departments of the Agricultural and Rural Commission, the Sanitation Department, the Animal Protection Association and other relevant departments. According to the plan, the professionals of the Agricultural Committee conducted on -site command and implemented specific arrests.
Considering the characteristics and living habits of the crocodile, it was finally decided to use the capture method to arrest. After many days of observation, the arrests were fabricated in the area often in the crocodile and placed frozen fish as a bait in the surrounding area. When the crocodile goes to eat, the fishing net that is embedded in advance cannot be moved. The staff quickly uses fire tongs to control it and transfer it to the shore.
At present, the Siamese crocodile has been sent to the aquatic wildlife rescue base in Chuansha Town, Pudong New Area, Shanghai, and was handed over to professionals for breeding.
