Wangcang Red Army City is located in Donghe Town, Wangcang County, Guangyuan City (the old city where the county is located). The Red Fourth Army was stationed in Wangcang City for two years before and after, and evacuated Wangcang in April 1935, starting the Long March. During this period, in order to respond to the Central Red Army entering the north of Sichuan, and to cross Jiangxi and set off the Long March, the Red Four Army also accelerated the construction of the army in Wangcang City. Since January 1935, the Plague Ancestor Temple and Wangmiao Street have formed the Shao Communist International Pioneer, the Bashan guerrillas, the Women of the Red Army, and the Red Four Fans of the Four Four Fans directly under the Wang Cang City.

Wangcang Red Military City belongs to the cultural relics protection unit of Sichuan Province, the cultural relics protection unit and the youth patriotism education base of Guangyuan City, the Sichuan Integrity Education Base, and the Earthquake Relief and Reconstruction of the Earthquake Education Base in Want Cang County.
