Help the elderly better into smart life

Liu Yiqing

To solve the difficulties encountered by the elderly in the use of intelligent technology, we need to work together to do a good job of services.

Once an interview, I came to Tonghua Central Hospital of Jilin Province. As soon as you enter the building, several large characters of the "convenience service center" are particularly conspicuous. Among the patients who come to consult, there are many elderly people. Most of the questions are registered and paid with mobile phones. The staff is enthusiastic and thoughtful to explain the operation process patiently. It is understood that the convenience service center is open 24 hours a day, with an average of about 300 patients over 70 years of age. The hospital specifically regulates some administrators as volunteers, so that elderly patients can find people and do things.

Such careful service makes the old people feel warm. With the rapid development of information technology, intelligent services have been promoted, making production life more convenient. But at the same time, many elderly people do not know much about Internet access and use smartphones. They encounter inconvenience in daily life such as travel, medical treatment, consumption, etc., and cannot fully enjoy the convenience brought by intelligent services. The issue of Honggou is increasingly prominent. To solve the difficulties encountered by the elderly in the use of intelligent technology, we need to work together to do a good job.

The combination of new and old methods not only encourages the promotion of new technologies, new methods, but also retains the traditional service methods familiar to the elderly. On the one hand, close to the needs of the elderly, strengthen technological innovation, and provide more intelligent products and services. For example, promote the aging and transformation of websites and mobile applications, so that it has the characteristics of more convenience for the elderly to use with large screens, large fonts, large volume, and large battery capacity. At the same time, simplify the operation process, increase the "relatives and friends agency" and other options, and reduce the difficulty of the elderly.

On the other hand, retain the original service platform and channels. For example, the elderly who do not scan the code or are not convenient to scan the code can provide paper proof of paper for the community; the service channel for the elderly to retain manual services, so that volunteers and guides can better help the elderly. These less "informatization" methods are the kindness of "old methods" for the elderly and the tenderness of "not afraid of slow".

Helping the elderly across the "digital gap" also needs to protect their legitimate rights and interests in the process of using the information technology. In the Internet, information fish dragons are mixed. From false propaganda, health remedies, to various telecommunications frauds, they have troubled the elderly. This requires social and family to form a joint force, fits the psychological demands and physiological characteristics of the elderly, do a good job of popular science, guide them to pay attention to and protect personal information, and do not give criminals. At present, the anti -fraud guarantee network facing the elderly is gradually weaving, so that when the elderly touch the net, they have more confidence and more assured.
