From June 11th to 12th, 2022, the reconstruction and expansion project of the Kashgar Airport passed the completion acceptance of Xinjiang Airport (Group) Co., Ltd.

The reconstruction and expansion project of Kashi Airport, as one of the key civil aviation projects during the "Thirteenth Five -Year Plan" of the National and Autonomous Region, is divided into three parts: flight zone engineering, terminal engineering, and terminal projects.

The design capacity of the Kashi Airport can meet the demand of 5 million passenger throughput and 60,000 tons of cargo and postal throughput of the annual passenger throughput. The main construction contents include: 1 new export taxi lane, 3 vertical connections and transforming the existing parallel sliding lanes; 33,000 square meters of new terminal buildings in the terminal area, 7 newly -built stations (2B, 3C 3C , 1D, 1E); supporting construction navigation, meteorological, fire, water supply drainage, heating and other subsidiary projects.

It is understood that the automatic sorting system of the luggage of the Terminal of the Kashi Airport Reconstruction and Expansion Project is the first automatic sorting system in Xinjiang Airport Group in Xinjiang.
