Huicheng District: Small Fund plays a large role in community governance and improves

In order to better organize social forces and participate in urban and rural community governance, at the end of 2021, the Municipal and District Civil Affairs Bureau planned to promote the pilot work of "community funds" to support urban and rural community governance. Among them, Qilian Village, Jiangnan Street uses the "Charity and Happy Village" as a new path for rural rejuvenation, creating a good atmosphere of "everyone can charity, everyone is charity, everyone is charity, and everyone enjoys charity."

The villagers said that the Secretary of the Tang Dynasty was the one in front of him. In fact, he is not a local, but the first secretary of the Huicheng District Civil Affairs Bureau to Qilian Village. In September 2021, he received the task raised by the "Community Fund". Since the villagers did not understand the role of the "community fund" at the beginning, the work was not smooth.

It is understood that the "community fund" is a non -independent legal person public welfare fund, which mainly relies on the charitable club or other charitable organizations at all levels in our city to raise funds. The method of fundraising is more flexible. It can be public fundraising, orientation donations, project crowdfunding, etc. It is mainly used to solve the needs of community difficulties, carry out community social services, and community governance projects. In order to let the villagers understand the benefits of "community funds", Tang Yu combined with his previous work experience and social resources, and led the village cadres and social workers of Qilian Village to propaganda mobilization from house to house.

After more than half a year of preaching and practice, on September 8 this year, the "Community Fund" of Qilian Village, Jiangnan Street, Jiangnan District, Huicheng District was officially opened and unveiled. On the day of the event, 387 villagers donated their spontaneous donations, and 24 caring companies actively responded, raising charity funds for 340,000 yuan.

This era has become an old community, the elderly, the difficult group, and the disabled. The number of support and rescue people is relatively large. Since the unveiling ceremony on September 8th, we have raised more than 340,000 funds at that time. It is still unexpected to continue to increase this amount.

At present, there are three pilots in the "community funds" within Huicheng District, including "Jiangnan Street Office Seven Liancun Village, Baitian Village, Ma'an Town, and Huluo Township Community in Qiaodong Street". "They all gained good social effects and evaluations.

Tao Faqin, Secretary of the Party Group of the Civil Affairs Bureau of Huicheng District and President of the District Charity Federation: (A total of) fundraising funds have exceeded 700,000 yuan, which has achieved good social effects. Come down, we plan to promote it in the region next year on the basis of summing up this year's experience, so that the small funds can play a big role and strive to improve our district's community governance capabilities and levels.
